I just wanted to give the FIGHT NIGHT Round 4 community a quick update of what the Dev Team has been working on since Fight Night was launched.
First, let me say we’re incredibly happy with the final product. Critics and boxing fans agree that FIGHT NIGHT Round 4 has revolutionized the fighting genre through the use of our physics based game play engine and enhanced visuals.
One of our goals, when we began working on FIGHT NIGHT Round 4 ,was to create an new and innovative game play system that would improve and surpass the game play and visuals of Fight Night Round 3. It wasn’t easy…but we think we’ve achieved our goal.
That said, our work doesn’t stop with the shipping of FIGHT NIGHT Round 4.
The dev team is constantly reading and posting on our message boards, keeping in contact with community members, and taking feedback from the FIGHT NIGHT Round 4 community. We have a team of individuals committed to keeping the game fresh, addressing issues, and working with the community to deliver more high quality content.
While we can’t provide exact dates and content specifics just yet, we can say there are solid plans moving forward. With the feedback and wish lists provided from the community our users can expect exciting content in the future.
Bottom line…we love the sport of boxing and want to continue to expand on the innovation in FIGHT NIGHT Round 4 and we’ll continue to do so with input of our community.
So, if you have anything to say or want to provide us with your feedback, be sure to stop by the FIGHT NIGHT Round 4 forums, http://forum.ea.com/eaforum/categories/show/79.page and let us know what you think.
Talk to you soon,
-Mike

Read what people are saying about the game. We'll be updating this blog regularly with links to reviews so keep it bookmarked.
Update from June 9
G4 TV – Best of E3 – Best Sports Game: Winner! - http://g4tv.com/articles/67340/xplays-best-of-e3-2009
Update from June 6 - Official Xbox Magazine quotes from their 9/10 review:

“Solid, satisfying and totally revolutionary”
“A game that can only be described as a TKO”
“Just as Fight Night Round 3 was essential at launch, Round 4 is just as essential now”
“Nothing short of incredible”
Updates from June 2 - The following were quotes from EA3.
Nate Ahearn, IGN - Since Round 3 launched in February of
2006, the sports world has been waiting for the sequel. I've spent a
considerable amount of time toying around with the new physics system
and game mechanics for FNR4 and can confidently say that the wait will
be well worth it when gamers get their hands on the heavy-hitting
contender on June 30 this year. (Note - Ship date in NA has been
changed to June 25)
Brian Ekberg, Gamespot - "…it served as an excellent
reminder of the sheer amount of variety that FN4 is going to pack into
its gameplay when it is released late next month."
Rob Smith, Editor-in-Chief, Playstation Magazine - "The
game is playing with fluidity to match its oh-so-real looks, and is
shaping to deliver some of the most devastating ¬ fighting
action…possibly ever."
Ryan McCaffery, Official Xbox Magazine - "Our hands-on
time also towels off any fears we might’ve had about this series moving
from the now-defunct EA Chicago to the Great White North and EA Canada.
In short, there is nothing left to do but start playing Round 3 again
to train for your next bout."

While it takes a while (and perhaps a long while) to get used to it, removing the buttons from the main portion of play is a terrific decision. Step up or step off, as it were.

The demo delivers a great experience, which is hopefully a small sample of the full Fight Night Round 4 game.

Fight Night Round 4 is easily the best looking boxing game to date.

I'm not exactly sure where to start other than to say that this is easily the best boxing game I've ever played.

The way each boxer moved around the ring added so much realism. And inside fighting was truly impressive.

I'm confident that Round 4 will be the most accurate representation of the sweet science ever, from top to bottom.
